I got a pile of injectors of two varieties in the trunk of my '88 LeSabre when I bought it. I'm pretty sure one type belongs to '87 Vin 3 (or B?) 3.8 and another type belongs in 88-91 Vin C engines. The catch is that I don't know which is which.

If I was going to take a wild guess, the ones with the rounded nozzle are '87 and the ones with the longer, more cylindrical nozzle are Vin C 88-91.

Read the 3-digit numbers on them and we'll tell you.

Believe it or not, Bosch is pretty good about actually labelling the injectors.

As for tips: its kind of odd. I have a set of 7 of the type with the cylindrical tips. 6 have what appear to be aluminum tips while one has a plastic tip and no numbers (the one pictured). One of the metal-tipped injectors is labeled as "N/G" which I assume is "not good" which means that the one injector with the plastic tip is a replacement for the one metal tipped "N/G" injector.

Anyway, here are pictures of the numbers as there are a couple sets of 3 digit numbers:

Round headed injector:

Number on harness clip: 927
Number on nozzle body: 170
Part number?: 0280150934

Cylindrical Injector (a metal tipped one this time as it has numbers)

Number on Harness clip: 742
Number on Nozzle body: 961
Part Number? on body: 0280150235

I guess if I was smart I could just look these up on GMpartsdirect or something

Edit: Part numbers didn't come up on GMpartsdirect.... bud I did look for an injector and they're like $90 a pop

I recognized the one on the right as soon as I saw it. That'* a LG3 (VIN 3) injector, the left one is a LN3 (VIN C).

BUT you still need to check the numbers, as I don't know if I am absolutely right.

Harness clip number is the one that matters.

Ya know, I feel really dumb as all of a sudden as the realization that I have 3 Vin C cars to choose from.... I can just look at the numbers on the harness clip and that would tell me for sure which injectors go to which cars
