tricks the pcm to thinking there is colder air coming in, but the pcm relearns if after a few hundred miles

True, its just a resistor worth about 10 cents with iat connector.

It must be Fuel companies selling those things! loL!

Yes, you could use it at the track, but it is worthless for daily driving and such. I don't know if our cars would learn it though.. [ours being 87-91'*]. Would it be the MAF sensor reading density that would figure it out eventually?

Messing with the IAT causes your fuel delivery to go rich. The O2 is the sensor that catches it.
