I would think that might be a restricted or not fully seated PCV.

I had my water pump replaced a while back thinking that was the whine.NOT IT.The dealership was telling me it'* the air conditioner pump.He said if it was him he would let it whine. That it was like a $1000 dollar fix and that it was a commen problem. He also said he had seen them go for years whinning like that. You can either fix it or learn to live with it .I'm living with mine but I dont like that sound unless it'* actually comming from a supercharger thats supost to have a little whine .I like that kind. Later SOCLEANONE.

Whiney power steering is definitely indicative of a problem. It'* gonna complain some when you hit the boundries, but any other time and you should get it looked at.

so does mine like if i am really getting on it

i think it is cause of the type of trans

i know that it isnt the power steering pump

and it also whines when i just barely put pressure on the throttle

i know that it doesnt do it constantly

Psst...PCV not fully seated.

Take it from someone that fixed the problem. High rpm only..check pcv. All other stuff...and power steering..worry, cause something'* gonna break.
