What causes sudden blood pressure increase?
Lately, I've been getting these massive headaches every once and a while. By massive, I mean headaches that are so painful that they're just about paralyzing. I get tinging/numbless in my body and the pain is so severe it makes you just slump down trying to get rid of the pain. anyway, I've been monitoring my bloodpressure to see if any answers lie there, and what I found is that my normal blood pressure is 114/60 normally when I'm feeling o.k., during, and after these head aches my blood pressure jumps up to 140/90! That is a huge jump in pressure for only a few minutes time. So, being the typical guy that I am, I HATE going to the doctor unless I absolutely have to. has anybody had this before, and also, has anybody heard of this? Other than this, I'm basically a healthy 18 year old (in exception to the lyme disease. lol) also forgot to mention that my pulse is around 50 when sitting still, and after the attack when I take my bloodpressure, it is at around 120... sitting still.
You need to go see a doctor! There could be several underlying issues. I suffer from migraines like you describe but mine are stress related. I can't get too upset or too happy or else I could trigger one. They suck!! Please get yourself checked out. It doesn't sound good. It could be something minor but you won't know until you go.

I would definitely get to the Family Doctor asap. Your body is trying to tell you something is potentially wrong. The sooner you find out and get corrective action, the better off you'll be.
In all seriousness, my answer COULD be true. But on the MORE serious side, find another Doc, or bite the bullet. It'* not worth taking chances.
There was one time in my life (when I got totalled in my 94 Buick Roadmaster) when I delayed going to the doctor. My long-term prognosis was affected by my delay.
GO!
