Glad your dad is ok. The car did it'* duty well.

it is especially sad that the frame and all are that bad since I found this auction which is 2 hrs for me.

Are you going to buy the car back at all to part?

You guys sound upset about a beautiful car, but let me express my thoughts on it, as a person that has personally seen this car:

This 93 SSEi is perhaps the best perfect example of a car 13 years old that is still (or was) in showroom condition. There wasn't a scratch, scuff, or ding on it or in it. No flaws whatsoever.

Wow that is just unbelievable. Glad everyone is fine. I hope you know where that *-10 driver lives so we can all go together and kick his ***.

By looking at those pics I can agree that it will probably get written off. Depending on what happens with the insurance, you may be able to get paid for it AND keep the car too ( not sure how it works in Alberta though). As mentioned before Vigs got a rust free car that you could possibly get your hands on and use parts from Red Deer to fix it up.

Coming in late to this thread, but I really feel for ya. I got my 97SE in 1999 and my 17-year-old cousin slid off the road in it a month later and did around $8500 in damage to it. His insurance fixed it, and then his best friend was killed a month later after doing the same thing in a Mustang.

That really put things into perspective for me. Cars are replaceable, people are not. Bonnevilles are safe cars. I'm really glad your Dad was kept safe. I really hope your insurance companies get your loan paid off for you. Your car looked really cherry before the hit. It'* definitely totalled, but you obviously know that by now.

Just this weekend I washed, clayed, and liquid-glassed my 97SE which now has about 90,000 miles on it. Every time I spend a dime on anything for it, I wonder if it will get hit and be gone next week. The thing is, you just can't let that get to you. You just have to move on. You will surely get another car, hopefully another Bonneville, and you'll surely take the same great care of it that you did your 93. You'll miss your 93, but you will always be grateful that it took care of your Dad.

You can't ever predict when your car will get hit, but knowing it'* one of the safest vehicles you can be driving should always make you feel proud to drive a Bonnie. Sorry about your car, glad your Dad is okay, and looking forward to seeing you around here for a long time to come, with a new ride.

I couldn't believe it when I heard...this does indeed suck. :( I know how you feel, and you'll still probably miss it in a few years. But your dad is ok, and you'll get another Bonne, it just won't be the same. That car was just a baby at < 120,000 miles :( So sorry for your loss Matt!

Allright, I was not willing to let myself believe that your Bonne wasn't fixable, but seeing the new damage pics from today, shows too much damage.

Matt, you know how I feel about your car (I have told you many times). If it is of any consolation, one of my best memories at WCBF last summer was when we tossed each other our keys, and even though you were worried about the transmission, you let me take her for the trip from the campground to Bill'* place. You know I was looking for an exact copy of your car at one point, and believe me, I had the biggest sh**eating grin the entire time I was in the driver'* seat.

I see you may have found another Bonne close to you, but if you need me to check out any car for you in the Arizona/California/New Mexico/Utah areas...hell, anywhere in the Southwest, let me know.

Matt, what do you want to do from here? I know I would be willing to go look at any SSEis up for sale in my area and you can bet your *** other members feel the same way. Hell even if you want to just hang tight, we're all here to help you in any feasable way.

Oh Matt honey....I'm so sorry. Like others have said, she served her purpose - she saved your dad.

Our cars are like soldiers....they protect us and save us from harm when others would surely fail. I'm so glad your dad is going to okay. This could have been much worse...I don't know what kind of car your dad drives normally, but perhaps this happened because he would have been worse off in his own.

It sucks when accidents happen, but it'* wonderful that there are no injuries. You took unbelievable care of her, and you will do the same with the next one.
