Good to hear that your fathers injuries don't sound too serious.

I am sure your dad knows how much you loved the car, and he is probably hurting just as bad from the emotional part as the physical. You're a great guy Matt and all of us here will do whatever we can to help you and your dad though this.

You're car held up real good in that wreck Matt....sad to see the car like that, but you gotta look at the bright side and know that your dad is ok.

Still sucks though, after all of that :?

Ya, know that interior shot of the impacted door....you'd never know anything happened

Hmm, very sorry for your loss, my thoughts are with you and your dad and the Bonne.

If it'* a total loss, maybe you could buy the free SSEi that Vigs got. It'* almost identical to your car.

Again, my thoughts are with you guys

Laura and I are in shock. It feels like a death in the family.

Soooo glad it wasn't a personal tragedy and your Dad was not hurt. It could have been different if it hit the driver side.

It'* OK to cry about it. Red Deer is your Baby.
I say is because it'* not dead. Anything can be fixed for enough $$.

Don't take any crap from the insurance company. We can guide you thru that.

You should be able to get a good buy out from them, keep the car and then use the money to fix it better than it was.
I don't know how your insurance company works but I know people in BC who have made out very well in similar circumstances.

Don't lose hope that you can be back in the drivers seat......maybe not in time for the Meet but before the end of summer.

I know I'm new here so words coming from a newbie might not sound as heartfelt, but in all seriousness, be thankful worse things didn't happen.

I've lost a few freiends to car accidents and a few to motorcycle accidents, and when I lost my friend, I mourned for a while, if it were my dad, I'd never know what to do. In retrospect, it was your car that potentially saved your dads life.

I know how much a car can mean to a person as well, Mine has been hit 3 times, and each time I was frozen for 2 days going "what to do". As time went on I started fixing a few things...and well, without the help of the insurance companies got the car back into shape. Sometimes fixing a broken car is just as rewarding as maintaining one .

Depending on who'* at fault, you could get some $$ back from the insurance company and keep the car. Then find a suitable donor body and transfer your parts over. I know if I lived remotely close to you I'd even be willing to travel to your place just to help with the rebuild. Not to mention I have a few friends who would probably help you out to. It wouldn't be the "same" car, but after a while it sure would feel like it. And on the plus side, it would be a great father son project. And that'* more rewarding than anything...

In the end, I hope things work out for you man. And based on the pic of the S10 and your car, your wax jobs paid off, it looks like the S10 slid down the car.

Keep your head up man, fathers day is coming soon!

~Dan
