Well...just like you can't fix stupid, you cant fix a broken mirror!

Sorry to hear that Sam. Care to elaborate on the level of stupidity that you did so we can avoid it when we do out mods? Cause you know....some of us are about as stupid comes!

i just bought one on ebay for 50 bucks to replace it..

how did i break it? you really wanna know? lol

when i did the 1st one i was at home, and while putting the glass back on the plastic piece i used glue and double sided tape.. so when i put them together i pressed firmly with my fingers while the mirror is facing the CARPET to make sure it sticks well...

after having a really shitty long day at work, at 6 pm i decided to work on my car for a bit at work thought itll be a good idea to put the mirror back on the plastic assembly so that itll be all nice and dry when i get home.. and ill get to start wiring it up.. so i did the same as the 1st one.. using glue and double sided tape, but i wasnt working on the floor were theres a carpet. it was in the shop were theres a CERAMIC tile instead... so putting it together and pressing firmly on it on the ceramic tile it made it crack into three pieces...

so now im left with a broken mirror after all the work i put into it, i put the mirror back on cracked because it really sucks driving without it.

and as for the driver side i put it back together and did some wiring but not done yet.. luckly it didnt crack putting it back in..

but while putting the mirrors back together i think it would be a better idea to install the plastic assembly 1st and then throw the mirror using glue and double sided tape... this way theres no risk of breaking the glass while putting it back in together

Nice mod Sam. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to reading the write up for the ones that don't visit the other sites.

Gently pull on the clips around the panel and lift up.

Not trying to be a jerk...but there is a search button in the upper right of all our screeens. I've never pulled a door panel in your year, but that would ahve been how I started to try and find out.

I had figured you searched instead of waiting.
