Overall, I'd have to say it looks alot better than mine did. Particularly the teeth on all the gears and the 2nd gear clutches.

Yeah that does not look too too bad, Reverse drum was just JUST hanging on, most of the teeth were hammerd out pretty good..My input clutches were warped..second gear had very little friction material left on it...I love Autos..very neat how they work.

Yea, so far, I have not been able to find any other damage cause by the shavings or a failed part. I noticed at the end where the differential cover bolts on, their is a drain hole for the differential that goes right back into the oil pan. So, hopefully that drain hole spared me any more damage. I can't even find any more shavings aside from the pan. The filter really did a good job. BTW, I opened the filter up and it was like looking in a mirror. So much metal inside the filter pocket.

So far, I am unable to find a decent source for a replacement differential kit. (still waiting on GM)

Now, can someone tell me the difference between a overhaul kit and a rebuild kit. Noticed the prices are different, yet the only thing I need are new cover gaskets and valve body gaskets.

I'm still getting red x'* in place of the pictures in both IE and Firefox while being logged in. I want to see them SO BAD. Is anyone else still having trouble???

I right clicked on the link, then manually pasted the pictures URL into the address bar, and I got a message saying that I was forbidden from seeing the picture. Here'* the text:

"You don't have permission to access /FRONTPLANETARY.JPG on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "

I guess it can't even find the error page telling me I can't see the picture. Gotta love computers.

Sweet. I am one happy camper. Those pictures are really cool. Now I know what it looks like inside of my transmission even though it'* a little bit mind boggleing to be able to comprehend how everything works together.

Thanks for taking so many pictures.
