For anyone that'* locking their keys and remote in their car.. shame on you.

Get out.. press button on remote. My door lock button and door key are the most under used items on the car.

I've never locked my keys in a car, but that'* probably because I've always had a remote so my car doesn't get locked unless I'm out of my car, holding my keys.

No keyless entry here...

When i was a teen, I had a bad habit of turning the car off and listening to the radio finish a song before I got out of the car. That caused me to lock my keys in my car many times. I kept a coat hanger wire wrapped under the front bumper and could get back in my car in under 30 seconds.

Before that I once had to ask a nearby officer to help. He didn't have a jimmy kit, just a coat hanger. Once he opened it up, he immediately asked me for my license, registration, and insurance. Good thing it was all current and accurate or I have a feeling I would have been takig a free ride to the local incarceration facility....whew!

Good times...

Well, I don't have to worry anymore. I have a spare key now. I can get in my truck easy as pie. If nothing else, I can reach my hand in the broken vent window and just pull the lock up, or pull the keys out.

I've only locked my keys in the trunk, and the doors were locked obviously. I use the fob and never would lock them in otherwise.
