Two minutes. Practice now, so when it happens, you're ready.

the only car I have ever locked my keys in was a '88 Volvo 740 turbo brick that thing was SUCH a pain in the *** to get into I finally just went nuts on it with the slimjim and somehow it worked then...

my car randomly locks itself...so i never leave my keys in it...(god forbid if I ever do)

after much bitter experience on both ends, my best friend and i have a set of keys for each others car with the understanding that we will rescue each others sorry *** when needed. so far we have managed not to lock ourselves out of our cars at the same time...but never say never!

I always carried a spare in my wallet. That'* gotten me in the car in less than 4 seconds, I even laugh about it when my friends go "oh ****, your keys dude!"

With the Bonneville, I had the keyless entry thing, and then I put an alarm system on it, with passive arming disabled, so I cant ever lock the keys in my car if I don't press the button.

Used to do that with my S10, but I only have the one set of keys for the Bonne, one day I'll get another key made, if I don't get rid of her first.

I keep my spare trunk key in my wallet. Since I don't have a lot of money in there, my wallet doesn't bulge out or feel lumpy.
