So the 00+'* aren't wimps, and with a bit of modding, they will fly. Scott, my friend, has been to the track a bunch of times so I know it wasn't inexperience. 15.2@ 92mph is his best time, (not adjusted for not being at sea level) which he claims would be 15.0@93.
BTW, my car is only slightly modded, if silverbullet, pontiacdad or one of the other heavier modded folks had been in my place they would've dusted the GTI, not just pulled away from it.

Just FYI, The VW GTI was a VR6, that'* why it was decently fast. I had forgotten to mention it in my last post until too late.

The four-valve DOHC, 201hp VR6 in the 2001.5 and newer models should be a nicer matchup. With the pulley, etc, I'm curious as to who'* faster. The 201hp Golf gets to 60 in six and a half.

Its all about ride and smoothness. Most people dont know they are doing 400-600 mph in a plane until they hit turbulence. Same with the car. I've got to say I never have had my head snap in my car, however always being the driver I anticipate alot of the power and either dip my head forward or compensate some other way. I think Kendra would say the car has plenty of head-snapping power.

Other things to consider, is the upkeep of the car. Being used who knows what the previous owner did to it Come to the Bfest and drive Taylors, or Whiskey98'*, or mine and see what you think.
