Default Strut Tower Bar?

Went to a local custom car shop and asked if they knew anyone who had a strut tower bar for a 94 Cutlass Supreme (probably would be the same for a 94 GP :? ) but they said no one has them after they looked it up. Is that true? Someone has to make them, or so I thought. Anyone know if they have one? Thanks

I know there used to be a few companies that made them. I would check a W body page, they could tell you for sure.

Well, according to the STB info page on w-body.com, which was last updated 4 years ago apparently, twindualcam.com, which doesn't even come up, makes them for the front and rear. GM had them too (part # 10220175) but I read that they were permanently discontinued. Junk yards charge a premium price because a lot of them know they were discontinued. I really hope I can find one. :?

Maybe you could use an H body one? Pull the center section out, chop it to the right length, and insert?

I may do something custom like that if I don't find any around some junk yards. I'll post in wanted and see if anyone has one as well.

Twindualcam.com went away awhile ago, probably because they were terrible with customer service and orders. GM made them for the cutlass convertable. Youre right about the junkyards, they know they can charge a premium for them. One other option might be to try the one from the current Buick Regal. A lot of 97-03 GP owners add them, but I'm not sure if it would fit on your car and it does involve drilling holes in the strut towers. Hopefully you can just find a GM part.

I should have remembered...when I got my intake from RSM, I noticed they had front and rear STB'* on their website as well. I went to their site again today to see if they had them and found them...$100 each, looks like I'll get it from there.
