The spirit of this Club
i have felt the love of the club probably more times than i have mentioned... if i didnt have this club i would still be driving a stock 95 bonneville just knowing it was kinda fast and to scared to work on it.. i now drive a modded 00 supercharged family sedan? WHAT!
i have about a dozen phone numbers of members in my phone that i use and i tend to treat them with more importance than my own friends, excep when im wasted (sorry bill
special thanks to billboost and pontiacdad, and to all the club for buying my ****!

GOOD TIMES!
Thank you Bill and Shadd for the great weekend! WCBF is gonna ROCK!!!!
The 3rd annual WCBF was the hot topic of conversation all weekend for us. In fact, we're going to try to have another mini-meet before then again.
Why? The friends and people you meet turn to family. Very quickly.

This place has committed me to keeping my beast until she drops her tranny or seizes. And then going out and finding a new one to replace her.
And that'* just the message board. I can't wait to go meet the people who share my obsession!

It'* funny.
I'm still cleaning up from the meet we just finished. Washing dishes, doing laundry (that load of rags we used had to be washed 3 times), and sorting all the tools (haven't found any but mine so far, so that'* good news!) and bouncing back and forth between all the cleanup and the forum (while liberally using the Vodka mixers John bought the other night with lilpooky at the store).
I'm bouncing back and forth still chuckling to myself about the good times we had, as each thing I put away reminds me of something else. The dog blanket John brought back from the last time we met in Washington in December that we left behind, the torque wrenches that John and Shadd gave great workouts to, the little fasteners we sorted through time and time again, the pink 'barf totes' we used for parts and tools, and many other things.
This place seems overly quiet now. Both my cars are back under the carport, and one of my neighbors just figured out that I didn't actually have my cars painted white.
Bo keeps going into Kim and Katie'* room to check the bunkbed for his buddies. It'* almost depressing.

I would also like to chime in that even though I am older I was still warmly welcomed at NEBF. Gumball was glad I came.
I had a great time and hope to attend again. Need to get an OK from the CEO to attend but I believe she is willing.
I received a lot of pointers for car maintenance and the proper way to perform some of the mods that members are currently doing.

I haven't made it to any of the big meets yet, though I will...
Yet I still have formed close friendships already, some with people thousands of miles away. I had belonged to truck forums and found the atmosphere tenuous at best. One forum had over 27,000 members, but couldn't pull together 1 meet!!!!
It'* not the size, stupid...lol.
Once I found BC, I forgot all about those other places, though I may have to go back if issues arise. Totally different though. Flaming is common, insults and arguments are common, and fresh ideas, even if they had merit were typically met with scorn or ridicule. Not always, just too often.
BC is my happy place, lol.
