So, since I don't have the Automatic Climate Control, I just have a black platic bump on my dash? Or, does it mean (ihopeihopeihope) that if I can find an ACC panel at a scrapyard I may be prewired?
Um, if all it took to upgrade was to change the control panel, then all the Bonneville LE owners would be installing boost gauges on their dashboards by now...

No, I'm pretty sure that you've got more surgery to do than just swapping the control panel and maybe installing the Solar Intensity sensor in the dash. There'* almost certainly a different wiring harness to put in, and there is a completely-different blower speed controller (a solid-state unit instead of a multi-speed resistor pack) installed in the core housing, which in turn has its own unique wiring harness, plus the high-speed bypass relay in the relay center is no longer required, and so on, and so on... Realistically, I think attempting this upgrade would be much more of a headache than it'* worth.

Well like I said the security doesn't work. I wish I remembered my RPOs that way I could tell if I had that feature.
If I get a chance tonight I'll try looking that up in the manual.
Okay, I finally remembered to look it up last night... The Anti-theft security system option (the horn-honking/lights-flashing feature, not the VATS II system which is standard) is...

aaargh, now I think I've forgotten it again...

Um, RPO code UW6, I think. Well, it'* definitely U-something-6, either UA6 or UW6.

Jeez, I have got to start writing this stuff down; sorry...
