Default Scan Tool

Does anyone have an OBD 1 scan tool I could borrow / rent?

Assuming this is for the 92, you do know you can use a jumper wire and pull the codes yourself?

Instructions are in Techinfo.

I need it for the 93. Been having intermittent problems with it running rich for a long time but SES had never tripped. I finally cooked my cat yesterday and SES light is on now.

Whatever codes presently stored are likely to have been triggered by the cat problem. I am looking for a scanner to drive with to help me trace down the original problem.

I don’t want to cook another cat – they don’t taste very good.

Ahhh..

If the cat is history...and the exhaust is rich..you have a 90% or better chance it'* a bad O2 sensor if you can't get a scan tool local.

You can use the jumper for '93 also. That was the last year.
