Hmmm, yea, listen to Rogue, and don't let it get ya down in the dumps man. When my tranny went out the other week, I said to myself that I was not going to let it get the best of me. Not this time. Go have a couple of beers and come back tinker with it for awhile and report back. We have already seen a couple of Bonnies go to the grave recently. Don't need another!

if you really like the car, swap in a L67. If you have mixed feelings, blow her up lterally. or scrap it either way.

Hey Jay,

Sorry to hear that. She was a trooper, and no doubt the car will live to see another engine.
I don't know if it'* up your alley, but since I got my 99 and I need to get rid of the 95 I'll cut you a deal on the 95. It needs a couple items, but it'* a good driver as is. Will be better runner after this week or next (Trans being redone under warranty). Taking it in this afternoon.
Will need AC compressor, and the front manifold needs a small crack welded (should've been done when they were ported and ceramic coated).

What I'm offering to you for $2G is my 1995 SLE SC with 152k, fresh tranny, freshly installed new large trans cooler, fresh windshield, exellent 235/55/16 Dayton Daytona tires (front'* have about 50% and rears are like new), fresh TR55 plugs, 180* t-stat, Ceramic coated PEM'*, 3" Down-pipe, 3" Magnaflow HF cat (stock 2.25" exhaust after cat with dual turn down tips), excellent interior, full set of 1995 H-body FSM'*, 1996-1999 trunk lid, spoilers and tails, 1999 L67 (Series II SC'ed) coil packs, Belden Max 8MM plug wires (Lifetime warranty), factory 7-band EQ CD deck, Infinity 6x9 3-ways in the rear, Alpine 2-ways in the front door with Bose Tweeters (tweets not hooked up), and air bags installed, but no sunroof or dual power seats.

Heck, I'll even throw in a full tank of gas, and include the 2.55" SC pulley, and your chioce of a good 140 amp alternator (currently on my 89 Lesabre) or the Red'* Electric 105 amp alternator with 5k on it (currently installed on car).

Car still grinds a little on corner accells, but the local shop that fixed it last time said to just take the passenger side mount (torque axis mount) off and adjust it. Otherwise all other motor and trans mounts have been replaced since I got the car last July.

Anyhow, I just thought I'd offer it to you for a deal as I am putting it in the local shopper and on www.carsoup.com next week for $2900/bo.
You might also check the 1995 by Gordies in Crystal. It'* a bright red 1995 SLE SC with 157k, but in real rough shape for $995 -if it'* still there.

Now I remember why I like BC so much

Rogue -- I just replaced the LIM gaskets a couple of months ago. The only thing that looked strange at the time was this:

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...833&highlight=

I'll still consider pulling the plugs, but considering how hard the motor was knocking before it locked I doubt it'* hydrolocked.

Marty -- Thank you so much for the offer, and after buying my current car from you I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another vehicle from you. At this point, I'm looking at getting a Mk3 (93-99.5) Jetta for my daily driver, and also to autocross on the weekends. If it wasn't for that, I'd jump on the 95 in a heartbeat.

The more that I think about it, I'm leaning strongly torwards replacing the motor. I'll have to make some phone calls tomorrow.
