Sad day in Bonneville land
My engine finally popped.
I cried. 261K. I need to decide what to do with 'er. I'm sad and you guys are about the only group that can understand my pain. |
Wow. :( Sorry to hear that. How did it go? Throw a rod?

I'm not sure yet. I'll need to tear it down to find out. What hurts the most is that I just put a lot of time into doing the intake gaskets and a bunch of other maintenance. ::sigh::
Anybody want to buy a beautiful Bonneville that needs an engine? http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...863&highlight= |

Rebuild her........Faster,Stronger,Better 8) |
How did it die? Just lock up or rattling but still running? I bet you can rebuild it.
|
It's frozen solid. I can't even crank the engine over. I've thought about rebuilding this one with performance parts (cam, etc). But there's so many miles on it that I'm not sure if it's really worth it.
EDIT: Too sad for this shit. I'm gonna take the Civic and head into town and have a couple of beers. I'll be back on tomorrow sometime. Thanks for everyones condolences. |
Geez, it ran so good and strong back in March. :? Sorry about that, it was a great car.

Try pulling the plugs and cranking it, You may have hydrolocked the motor, espeically if you had a leaky intake gasket.
