Rotors

I went the route of Bendix ceramic pads and Bendix premium rotors. Every stop I make is good, consistent and I love it. There is slightly more brake dust than GM factory ceramics.
WillWren himself got in and commented on how nice the brakes were on the car. Coming from a slot owner...I took it well.
They are pricey compared to regular (cheapy) pads/rotors, but not near the cost of having a mechanic change them out.

I've been thinking of painting the inside of my rotors. It does look very good.

and Bill you will have alot of downtime coming up to paint the rotors.....
I just did a quick search online and found powerslots for a 2000 SSEi for $216 (pair). And I know I can find a cheaper price AND free shipping with a little homework. If you need rotors anyway, that'* not a bank-breaker.
