Friends don't let friends work on a dirtyXhundred. My current hatred for the 3100/3400 is fueled by having two in the family.

Dan.. take my advice and stay away from these motors. First LIM job on my dad'* only took me 9 hours of swearing. With my mechanic buddy who does a lot of these..it was a 3 hour job together. ps.. take off the schrader cap to wiggle the ps pump free, it'* that tight in there. enjoy that alternator extra bracket. Heck, just changing a thermostat is more involved.

well its all back together but something still isnt right its still misfireing on 2. so so far we have just been finding the other problems the car has, and not the one causing the issue. going to do plugs and fuel filter monday and swap the maf as it needs one anyways to correct a surging issue. if not that we are going to start leaning towards that the headers melted something (god i wish i had never gotten those the have been a pita) so anyways thats what is going on

Little late in the game but i cannot stand my moms camaro with the 3.4, half the engine hiding, took me from 9am to 11:30pm to change out the lower gasket and most of it was trying to get under the darnd firewall area, then bout 11:00pm the fuel rail wouldn't go back in properly. she had it finished at a shop and they said i messed something up but it runs now, i think i accidentally switch a couple of pushrods on the pass head. or couldnt get the rockers torqued correctly thanks to autozone'* crappy rental torque wrench

Do your vacuum hoses in red, that would dress it up a bit more.

Looks great though.
