Default replaceing my intake gasket

having a freind who is a mechanic do it. he wasnt able to get down till 8pm last night then had to leave by 10 so this is ho far we got on the repair




so since it was torn apart and i had a few hours i started painting

the 3400 will be polished silver and the sfi being painted red

Yeah lol its a 7 hour job by the book im not complaing im have a freind do it for 300 vs the 1100 quote i got from the dealer lol

I never did a 3400, I can do a 3800 in about 2 hours. And a 3800 must be harder, it'* a bigger number.

sometimes it doent pay to be in a hurry. sse97 you work to cheap. I run anywhere from 35 to 50/hr all depends .

i do work cheap but i have a huge clientell but i also did that one for a buddy i dont charge per HR i charge by the job..for a normal customer woulda been double that

I saw a two mechanically inclined friends tearing into a 3400, took them a good part of the day and they were complaining by the end :P

I say looks like a good job so far, and it should look great as well!

I use to do it for beer now that was very cheap and would wanted it done yesterday so all that ended ..

well another 3 hours in it we have it compleatly torn down but the intake was so clogged up with dry coolant it was a wonder the car ran. so my freind took the lim home with him and he is going to send it through a high heat parts washer at work tommorow come back down and reassembel tommorow

oh and on price it is a tad high for a freind charge but i owe him big. he has hours into my old cutlass with no pay, hours on this one free and free diagnosing and also he is coming down 3 days in a row to do this job and he lives 70miles one way from me
