I felt comfortable buying the first one, and was quite surprised when it started to whine. The high pressure hose to the rack started to leak, so I replaced the pump again when I replaced that. When that was even worse, I began to wonder if there was another issue. So, I decided to try one from Ed, and if the problem persisted, I'd look elsewhere. I was please when it took care of the problem.

The other plus of getting one from Ed is that it came with the pulley. I didn't have to dash off to borrow the puller from Autozone.

Now, you see, buying a used PS pump worries me... I hear so many w-bodies with whiney PS pumps it'* not even funny. Now, I know that Ed'* a trustworthy guy and I've given him a lot of business, and will continue to do so, but it seems like buying used would just mean buying a bit of time. A lifetime warranty would be better, IMO, so that I could get some protection. I mean, it'* gonna die sometime, why not have it die with an unlimited warranty? That'* just my two cents...
