You're right Will, If I still drove like I used to, my luck would go away soon, I wouldn't doubt it. That'* why I generally drive slower and safer now. I tend to baby my car too for the fact that I just HATE the process of getting a ticket and going to court and waiting 2 hours for the judge to hear me say "not guilty, " then have to come back to court the next week and wait another two hours to have it dismissed. It'* just a PITA.

Stay away from Cobra and Uniden. I've owned almost every major brand in the past, and they're my least favorite. Actually, I'd put Uniden above Cobra. If you're in the Cobra price range, go with Whistler.

i own a cobra (not sure what model) got it as a gift "out of box" its saved me from tickets numerous times, id say if ur an "out of control driver" ull need to spend a lil more money but from what my cobra has saved me it was well worth it! and mine has that emergency band too, but its never gone off.... :?

My Bel has VG3 alert, and goes into 'stealth' mode so it can't be detected. I've seen it twice, but to be sure, I have a radar kill switch mounted on my center console. If you click on the "SSEi" pic in my sig, it'll go to my website. You'll see my switch in the console. It'* the big red one.

If your detector has the VG3 why would you have a kill switch for the radar, just to be safe?Do you find a lot VG2 out there, your work good for the VG2?

I bought a $40 Whistler from Wal-Mart, no complaints. Even has VG2 I believe (never use it though).
