Hey, im thinking about purchasing a radar detector sometime soon and i was just wondering about the expiriences you have all had with some brands and what you think is the best for the money. Im lookin to spend under $100 dollars but if i find one i like i might go a little over, thanks.

i love cobra brand. only ticket i ever got was without one. and im really a speed demon. 105 down a main street at midnight want a good idea anyways. jail sucks

what you should do is read customer reviews about the varoius brands, that can be found on numerous sites on the intraweb

you might rethink your budget. up it a little.

a good radar detector versus a good ticket. mine today will likely be around $200.

yep I agree. My Cobra cost $100.00 and though it detects it still way too late where my Escort 8500 $300.00 seems to detect from miles away...

one of my good friends has a Valentine One, and, if used correcty, can pretty much save you from any type of ticket. I mean, unless you're just plain obvious, haha.

I have a Cobra and it works fine for my needs. It gives me plenty of notice- even the "pop" mode. I spent about $100 on it.

Valentine is a joke for the money. I can put dual radar in both cars (and have) for FAR less money, and have as good as any valentine for protection.

Bel is the best protection for the money.
