Best Buy and Circuit City have some if I'm not mistaken. You might wanna check out there too. Last time i checked Best Buy had the Cobra. I'm not sure of the price but it might be a good bet.

Save your money.. buy a Valentine One. Although I hate my dad, like no tomorrow, he has 3 of them, for his 3 cars, and he hasn't had a ticket since he bought them. He drives 80 in 45'*, and is very immature in his driving style.. even more than I am!

Valentine is way overpriced and not as effective as the 'tests' make it seem. You're better off running two cheaper detectors one front, one rear.

Cobra is crap. Look at BEL'*. I've had 3 Cobra'* die on me. I've been running detectors for 20 years now, and Uniden and BEL are the most reliable. Bel has the best 'coverage' by far.

I have a cobra in my truck that for about 15 bux in radio shack parts and a schematic I found on the net I turned into a jammer & a detector....That throws'em for a loop everytime.

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier. My advice? If you're running it high on the WS to not be noticed, don't count on ANY rear coverage. Same applies for way down low. Mount it smack in the middle, or don't count on rear coverage, or even better, run a pair of detectors like I do. It'* amazing. Because the tones are different between them, I can tell instantly from the sound what direction the radar is. And it'* obvious when I pass oncoming radar. It moves from front to rear.

i plan on hard wire mounting it on the left side of the rear view mirror. am i gonna have any problems with that? im gonna stick with only one right now, but the money is flowing so we will see

but if i did have two, and a cop did get me, and he saw the one in the REAR window.....i would be nailed for sure

That'* where my Bel Vector 940 is. Too high for rear coverage. A cheapie in the back window will work far better. Get one totally different in tone. Rear mount is a piece of cake. I bent a peice of plastic for a bracket, and tucked it into the headliner. Both are hardwired through switches in my center console.
