Default Problem with the Bonne

What'* going on everyone. I've known about this for some time but have yet to ask what'* going on. When my uncle drove my car up from Florida, as soon as it hit New York it started to stall. The check engine light is on as well. When I rev it, when the RPMs drop, they drop below a grand and the whole car shakes and the lights dim. She is not road legal as of right now, but I start her up just because. lol. My uncle told me it'* the MAF sensor. What do you guys think? Also, I have a slight oil leak that I've noticed recently and it started to screw up my driveway. Is there any way I could stop it? I feel like such a newbie right now. lol. Thanks in advance for any help.

First, you will need to get the codes, that will help a lot. To test the MAF, unplug it, the engien will stumble a bit but then smooth out. If no change then it'* not the MAF. I would guess you have a vacuum leak.

Just an update. She is all fixed and is road legal for about a month now. It was the sensor after all. I LOVE her but I'm a little afraid of her. The mileage is what scares me. 190,000 miles. I know that these engines are amazing but just seeing that number scares me. I'm actually afraid of taking her over bridges/out of state. I don't know, I may sound weird but it'* the way I am. lol
