Have you ever had the pleasure of running an Aurora hard like we do our Bonnevilles? If not, don't knock it. You would be hard pressed to school one if that person has opened up the intake with something like an ADTR CAI.

Actually I have a large quantity of aurora products coming.

They are awesome cars when set up right.

I've taken 2 Aurora'*, and it wasn't easy. Both were probably stock. They're lighter than the STS, I think. Somebody else here posted a twin Aurora kill some time ago, too. Don't remember who. They're quick, but not very common around here, thank god. Even a stock Aurora with a good driver is a helluva challenge for an i.

The problem with both the aurora and the caddy is the computer. Solve that and a 5-700hp caddy is easy.

Maybe I'll beg the wife to let me get one. I'll be willing to try to reprog the PCM. I could at very least get the tranny shifts up a little and probably advance the timing. The quad cams would definately be a challenge!

You can get a cam and head kit for it that will put you in the 400hp range. The kit costs $2200.00. The engine is the easy part believe me the computer is the issue. There are a few trying to get it worked out. 600hp is a breeze with a 4.6l (same size as 4.4) and the 4t80-e is much the same as the 4t65-e and will take on 600hp without tooo many problems.

400 hp would take a serious bite out of most rides out there today...including Cobra SVT'*! The search begins............

Ty,
Would this drive train fit into our cars? And if so, how hard would it be to do so? I know you have the 4.9 option but what about this way?

Yes this drivetrain will fit easy same with the current caddy 4.6l and the 4.0 aurora. both have a ton of performance options. It is hard to come by people who have mapped the computer that much. this is why some guy put a engine in the trunk on top of the stock drivetrain up front of his caddy for a 600hp Awd caddy. Yes it is true. Ill find the link. So there is a reason he did this and it was the computer. Now I have a solution but that is my secret and until I get the money to put the kit to work I will have to keep that part a secret. Now if I find a buyer then I will make the kit for them at cost just to flex the option. I have a local shop that can do it starting last year. LOL
I can also do a rwd Bonneville fairly cheap but it depends on the cost of donor parts. I am not just joking either I can and will back up my talk with action. I am only handicapped by my past divorce from my ex and money. So until I get back on my feet the car is a subject only.
