I normally would not pay for synthetic but the posts on this thread have me rethinking it.
That'* a good deal....I'll be heading there tomorrow!

I'm a member at BITOG forums, but its mostly for comedic purposes. Its funny how folks do cartwheels to validate the oil they've chosen. My bonneville gets walmart bulk 10W30 and fram bottom of the barrel orange filters every 5K. 186K miles, so far. My 95 dodge/cummins has 265K on the same fram orange and rotella dino. I seriously doubt either will expire from an oil related failure, and I keep my stuff until it is tired from other than oil related issues. I bought Castrol Edge and pure one filter for 24.99 in Nov, and consumption has gone from 3000 per qt to 1500. Back to cheap stuff for me. WM raised oil change prices drastically, so I'm doing my own now. I felt better pouring the good stuff in, but I dont think the 3.8 cared.

Anyone else like this idea? I like it because I have a 4.3L and it would allow me to more easily purchase one filter for two different cars. I don't want to risk anything... wonder why GM just didn't use the 4.3l filter as standard on the SSEi?
