Where is the casting numbers on the heads.

I'm pretty sure that number will tell the story since the studs are different sizes. Since production date of car can mean very little as to when the engine was produced, I believe casting number from the head/block is a more accurate method to determine which rockers a motor received.

Pat, I don't see that bearing just inside the ledge of the rocker on yours.

YOU, sir, have the roller rockers. I need your build date. Keep in mind, that date will only be a vague reference. We'll know when the car was built, but still won't know exactly when the motor was.

EVERYONE ELSE:
See the two bearings on either side of the hex bolt INSIDE the top of each rocker?
