i can buy a 1996 bonneville se L36 220,000 km (132,000 miles ) for 800$ clean body no rust dirty inside that the good part the problem the engine is seize from coolant but there no coolant in the oil .they told im its a head gasket but i know its either the upper failure or lower gasket but usualy there coolant in the oil could it be the gasket leaking in a intake port and do you think at 800 its a good deal there also 5 spoke 16 inches wheels on it

If its a failed upper or lower, or both, Im sure there is coolant and oil mixed together somewhere in that engine.
The question is how long has it been sitting in that state? It doesnt take long for a coolant/oil mix to do some damage to engine internals.

the car has been stop for almost a years but the oil is pitch black so i was thinking taking the plugs out to see if the coolant is there .because the body on that car for a 1996 is mint no rust at all

Don it may be worth it for you to get the car, Maybe throw him $500 and see if he bites.. Then install a new L36 or L67 swap it

If the body and interior are in good condition I see the perfect car for a L67 swap. Heck I can find a half decent L36 at the wreckers for $200 here. I would take it
