Default Need advice quick, 1994 bonneville SSEI

My girlfriends sister has a 1994 bonneiville SSEI, its suposed to be in great shape. Her sister is not mechanicly inclined at all, the best I could get out of her is is runs but wont go very fast. I guess she took it in and its suposed to be something electrical. If the car were closer I would pick it up no problem they only want $700 for it, but its like 12 hours away from me. I need a car that runs soon, is there anything electrical that could be causeing the trans to not shift out or does anyone have anyother ideas? I need soon because they need the car gone and I need one I can drive. Thanks.

Sounds like getting codes is out of the question, but it would substantially help us answer your question.

Pretty much wherever the car is there'* probably a member with a scantool. And if we don't have a scan tool...or you don't want it for $700....

Please tell a member...because an SSEi for $700 is like a big ole gift you never counted on!
