Default 94 Bonneville SSE Cranks but wont start... need advice!

Hi, I am new here and am having a problem with my Bonne... When I first purchased the car a little less than a year ago, we began having a problem with intermittent no-start. We were lucky to have the previous owners mechanical records and saw that this was a problem that had been occuring for some time prior to our purchasing the car. It was taken to a mechanic but the no-start persisted.
After we got it it would occasionally not start for a few minutes or an hour but would always start up again after being left for a while. It runs great and other than this had no problems that we know of. Last week it began doing the no-start thing more frequently and then all the sudden it wont start at all now. It has been sitting for a week with us unable to start it. We have cleaned the key and ignition with alcohol. That didnt seem to help but the key sure is shiny The security light does not stay on so I dont think it is the anti-theft but I could be wrong. The engine cranks and the fuel pump comes on, we can hear it. When checking for spark to the spark plugs there is nothing. I am thinking it is the ICM but wanted some feedback from the knowlegable people here before I spend $200 on a part that might not even be the problem.
Coincidentally about 2 months ago the rear passenger side floorboard was soaking wet. It never did that before or since. What causes that? We really need some feedback, this car is making us crazy!!! Thanks in advance for any help, it is much appreciated!

Welcome to BonnevilleClub.

The first thing we like to check is the battery & battery connections. Even though the car is cranking you may not be getting enough power to the ICM. Please make sure all the battery cables are clean & tight at both ends. Let us know what you find & we'll take it from there.

How close are you to Albany, OR?

We might have met you before, last year in a chevron parking lot. We have a silver SSE with a missing passenger side mirror. You gave us the card for this site, thats why I am here I think it might be you, I recognize the green Bonne

Which green Bonne?

That was me. Chevron in North Albany. I remember it well.

Can you click on the PM link below my posts and give me your phone number? I MIGHT be able to make a trip out later today to look the car over.

He bought an Autozone Duralast ICM to swap in. I'm digging up a tool kit for the visit if that doesn't do it.

Crank, no start, no spark.

Do you have a spare? It could save him $200. Seems like we see a lot more faulty crank sensors than ICMs.
