Default SSEI Sudden shutdown-previous wierd lights coming on/off

Need help. Last week or two the "ABS" and "Traction Off" lights on dash would come on and stay on after starting car. Then shutting off car, restarting would clear these lights and they'd go out.
Today I started the car in morning, after running for 30 secs, TOTAL SHUTDOWN with no notice, sputtering or anything,no notice,no lights,NOTHING. Key still in "ON" position in ignition.
Shut off car, turned key again-DEAD,no lights,NO anything.
Shut off, turned key, got lights-self check initiated. Started car, sputtered twice, TOTAL SHUTDOWN AGAIN, no lights,nothing-totally blank everywhere on dash. Towed away.

Its at Pontiac dealer now, they couldn't find anything,it started FINE for them, they cannot reproduce problem.
Anyone know or hear of this before? Any ideas ?? :?

BOTH ends of all cables. Clean each location and re-mount. Classic case.

Default What they told me...

Pontiac dealer said they cannot reproduce the problem, reset the "ABS" codes..and are going to replace positive battery cable (They didn;t stock the high-powered one SSEI requires so gotta' wait weekend for it..)

Will have them also clean Neg cable ends, and also replace battery, since the "Diehard" in there is not a sealed one....

Will keep an eye on "ABS" lights to see if module relly needs replacing at all.....

ALSO have another question for you guys:

My headliner was replaced by a not-so -reputable place( I now know that.) They removed the plastic 'finger' hold on the sunroof'* headliner that you can slide back and forth.
I found the part,,but it does not stay (falls out) when putting it into the hole where its supposed to go. It is a single peice......is there a backing its supposed to snap into or something ?

Your dealer is ripping you on the battery cable. There'* nothing 'special' about SSEi battery cables. You can buy a universal cable of the same size and function at Autozone for 10 bucks.

'High powered' battery cable?

I had that same problem, ended up having to have my wireing harness rebuilt. It had broken wires inside the harness. No problems since then.
