The LS1 was an alluminum engine that was a SFI 5.7 V8 it came out in 1997
The LT1 came out in 1992 and was an MFI 5.7 HO V8..
Good Luck... And I have seen a few of the LT1 make some nice power...

the caprices are ugly.. very ugly... the impala'* are about the opposite though.. it'* kinda funny how they are both essentially the same body style. Go with the SSE.. much better looking car.
OMG OMG you dont know what you just said.. not only are they basically the same body style, there the same exact car lol.. thas funny.. and ya they do put out alot of power some of the b-bodys can run in the 9s lol thas just funny though really.. the impala is a caprice WX3 lol im sorry.. ya a grill and wheels shell never know the difference.. easely can get 500+ rwhp out of the LT1 with stock internals and no spray.. but mostly you see them in the 650 range lol... they had LT1s in the 80'* actually... they where carbeurated..
