Default Leaks.........

Well it appears I've got 2 leaks in the car....

One in the trunk... everything in it was soaked after I took it thru a touchless car wash.
I took everything out of the trunk and I'm pretty sure I know where it'* coming in from. I'm going to take it thru another wash just to be sure (with the trunk empty).

And the other is on the drivers door, at the B pillar just above the trim.
This is the one that'* confusing me. I've had the car thru the touchless wash a few times before and it'* never leaked... correction... this one isn't a leak... it sprays me.

I thought maybe some trim has come off the door, but I compared it to the passanger door and they look the same. Maybe someone can spot something that'* missing, piece of plastic or trim or something.

Here'* the drivers door... I'd say the spray comes in about 1 to 2inchs above that really bright flash spot.

Here'* the passanger door....

Drivers side pillar....

Passanger side pillar....

Any help or suggestions would be great.... thanks.

I thnk the cold has shrunk your door moulding and made them stiff, try warming it up next time you might get a better seal?

Has that car ever been in an accident? Possible the door isn't fitting right? You may have to replace the weatherstripping, or add some thin stuff. Also, try lubing it with a light silicon lube on a rag.

No it'* never been in an accident... not on the official records anyways (besides the bump on the rearend I got recently). The inside door panel on the drivers door never has looked right. Looks like whoever took it off did it wrong and/or put it back together wrong. But I've had it thru the carwash before and it'* never leaked or sprayed me like it has the past 2 times.

I'm going to buy some foam tape from CT, and I'll try the silicon on a rag. She'* going in tomorrow to have the bumper repaired from the accident.. maybe I'll put in a 2nd work order request to have them check out the door.

That'* what I've done is the Foam Tape. My driver'* door was leaking at the top. I put some foam tape unside the stock weatherstripping and it worked great. For yours, you'll just have to figure out where it would be least intrusive...

You thinking on the door or on the pillar?
I'm thinking pillar.... but I'm not at the car right now.... might change my mind when I'm at the car w/ tape in hand.
