Default knock sensor

Friend has a 1995 Buick park ave with 3800 series II.
Engine light keeps coming on, had it scanned at a local shop. Came up as knock sensor. The shop put a new knock sensor in, the shop cleared the code. 2 days later car started ******* power light came back on brought back same code knock sensor.

The guy at the shop said, I think you need a new pcm spark plugs and wires coil packs. He put all that stuff in same problem.

What it causing the knock sensor code it’* not pcm spark plugs and wires coil packs. Did not do anything.

Like to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks

Do you happen to have the code or know which sensor was replaced. In a 95 PA there are two sensors. One for the front bank and one on the rear. The wiring to either could be suspect and should be checked as well depending on the code.

I would say check the other sensor. Other then that, inspect the wires and plug. There'* only one wire to each sensor. One is to the right and above the starter, the other is to the left and above the oil filter.
