Good point Dan. Let me add to this....when you recharge your filter after cleaning, follow the direction on the recharge can. A light coating means just that...light. After a good filter clean your K&N will be gray in color. A light coating of the recharge will give it a pinkish/red color. If it'* a deeper red or burgundy...you've used too much oil.

Good tips - I'm glad this discussion came up as I will be cleaning my filter(and the wife'* as well) pretty soon.

Here are the two attachments, one is of the TPS (i think), hard to see w/ my crap old digital camera. The other is the filter i have on my car. It'* been on the intake for about 3 years, and i've never recharged it. Don't have the old MAF to show you but it was bad as well. Took longer than expected but i just wanted to add these because i said i would
