that eye shift is key...it'* why they put the gauges there. It so bugs me if I don't notice a temp increase or change in oil pressure.

Personally while the batt gauge is the only one I'm missing for typical gauges...I'd like one. But as long as I'm in the mood to add, how about tranny temp also. The list goes on and on. Easier to just get a scan tool.

We were just saying we like gauges...after someone mentioned for you to pay extra attention to yours. No one meant that you didn't watch them.

I like the gas comment

Sometimes its not a matter of checking the gauge. I check mine all the time but you do have to watch the road, and when my coolant elbow broke it blew 2 gallons of fluid out in less than 30 seconds. At 80mph the block heats up fast. Thankfully I had an audible warning to alert me.

Glad your car is good Steve.

You and me both.... I would have never bought my 91 LE if it didn't have the gages... I found several 90-91 LE'*, but didn'y buy them because there was no oil pressure gage, Tach or Batt gage.... I have to know whats going on at all times...
I am the same way and my 93 SSE made me that way. I always watch the gauges. My lumina has only temp and that irks me when I think something it up, but have no way to check it.

SSESC - Glad to see your car is back up and running. I'd take it easy on it for a couple hundred miles just to make sure things are A-ok

I was 15 miles up the highway when I decided to stop ignoring all the idiot lights..to find out later the pcm is monitoring a seperate set of sensors and I was the idiot.

I'm just gonna repeat what everyone else said, but...

Glad to hear she'* up and running, but a little paranoia for a week or two would be a good thing.

Hurray! I'm glad that it turned out well. I remember in drivers training they taught us to check the guages and rear view mirror all the time. It'* a good habit to have.
