Installed the front bumper trim molding this morning and it was a fairly easy installation. No retainers to worry about and old trim was not bolted to the bumper. After pulling off the old trim it took about 45 mins to remove the old residue left on the bumper. I wanted to have a clean surface to attach the new trim to. The old stuff that came off had a rubbery like feel to it. Below are pics of the before and after job. I used a combination of linseed oil and lacquer thinner and the old stuff came off clean. So if anyone is thinking about replacing their trim it is a piece of cake. Got the part from gmpartsdirect.com.
