General GM Chat When starting new posts, please specify YEAR, MAKE, MODEL, ENGINE type, and whatever modifications you have made. Chat about all things GM (and related cars). Off-topic stuff should be in the Lounge, and all Model specific mechanical problems should be posted in the proper forum.

I really need help deciding (L67 swap or SSEi)

but when someone sees the less sporty front bumper with the fogs appart near the ground...they assume it is a lower model.

Assuming they realize anything about a bonneville besides it looks grannyish.

I gotta side with Bill on this one. While I love my Bonneville and know the differences, they typically don't get the looks that your F or W bodies do (excepting maybe the 2000+ models).

Being from a backround where having a good working vehicle came before flash and dash, I would vote for keeping the good, low mileage, sweet looking (fast) car you have for now. Especially while you are a student. JMO, you asked.

Started right up for me. you younger guys apparently never had to mow a lawn.. (5 of them can't start a simple lawn tractor)

Simply..95% of the people that see my car don't think or say how cool it is..or anything about it being supercharged. They really just don't notice any differences in the models.

Swapping is a little more mechanical than most parents would hope for their kids to get into.
