Your car should be able to take a GAGT, so I doubt it was a re-badged SE.

Bill'* right... you should be able to beat a GT.... and SE'* can come with the V6, which is why some people choose to rebadge them. Either case... nice kill

the newer 99+ style? the gt'* with a 3.4 run mid/ high 7'* 0-60, high 15'* 1/4, ive heard in the mid 15'* stock, usually high though. should be able to kill a series 1, maybe he had a problem hooking up? if it had quad exhaust it was a GT, the v6 SE'* had twin tips.

actually pretty nice cars on the outside, the interior is just sooooooo bad, even worse than a bonneville! lol j/k

nice. The new GT'* are spunky, like the 03'* and whatnot. 3800 with ram air. I am actually thinking about getting a ram air hood put on my bonnie when I purchase my turbo and intercooler. Just a lil more cooling to get me running a little faster. I got so much work to do on my car, but it'* gonna be running and looking sweet when it'* done. I raced a 96 grand am a few weeks ago and beat it. It put up a good fight though. My mom'* 2000 grand am se has ungodly accelration and some huge balls. I have some kills under my belt with her car as well. Grand Am'* are nice cars, my mom had a 96 that had some problems, the computer in it was going, so we sold it and got the caravan then we got the new grand am. Nice kill.

They don't have a 3800, they have a 3400. If they had a 3800, they would definately be quick.

Yup, around there, I've seen those kinda numbers for an Olds Alero. Slightly faster than a Camry V6 (negligible, not enough to determine a winner in a real-life situation), slower than an Accord or Altima, but faster than the Chrysler 2.7L or any 4-banger midsizers...

The last good engine the GA had was the Quad4. Nothing since can be categorized in the 'huge balls' department.
