The CD player is a success!!!! Even though its a Chevy factory ready, I am surprised the gain switch still works with it. Nice.

so, if you have a factory tape deck with steering controls and you want a factory CD player, can you still use the steering controls?

yes but they make an interface so that you can use the steering wheel controls with aftermarket radios that have a remote

thanks-i was just searching here for that stuff. i'm not sure if i want an aftermarket or just stock cd replacement, but I DO want to keep my steering controls. if i find a stock for cheap, i'll probably hook do that-no extra wiring or anything right?

an aftermarket deck will have more features than a stocker and wil have more power output as well.

i know, i'm sure it would sound better, but it'* cheaper to do stock and my summer car has a mint system anyway(which i should put ion the bonnie for now). you know which stock cd will work in a 94 ssei and have steering controls?

Any from 87-99, maybe even the newer delcos. If it fits.
