check the oil level at every fill up, and change it every 1-2000 miles for a few months, should get most of the crap outtta there.

before i changed the oil, it was 1000 miles past due on a change. Dont know how many months though. The oil was full too before the change.

i ususally go 3-4000 between oil changes (almost all highway) without problems. (knock on wood). I had a small leak once but thats it. The car does run better with new oil in it though.

You might want to think about running some seafoam through the oil if you are worried about it. Check the can for directions.

Wow I dont think mine has ever seen 20lbs. Mine is always above 40 and sometimes it would it go up to 80 lbs. I tend to be curious about why mine is so high at times, it does kinda worry me because I feel its to much pressure maybe.
