I inspect them every once and a while, and unless they are cracking, or are doing a horrible job clearing the rain off of windshield , I'll just stick with them, usually I get 2-3 years per set, I usually go for the more expensive wipers though, like Trico, or RainX Latitudes.
Note: I do not always drive daily, so that may attribute to why mine last so long.

same here, i get about a year normally, i think since they dont sit outside so stuff like that doesnt bake in the sun

They quit working good after 2 years in these parts, so that'* where I stand

mine only seem to last a year by spring I need a new one.
I am experimenting with shorter blades 15"on drivers side because of curve in the window. shorter blade doesn't seem to have as much of the window curve baked or frozen into them that the longer ones do an they seem to pull away from window an leave it difficult to see thru right where I want to see, any way it worked wonders on my van, haven't been out in the weather with the PA yet to see how it works on it.

My truck they have been on two years and are still good. They are the autozone beam blade ones. They are used a lot as it'* my plow truck.

Not as often as I should. I find it hard to find quality blades at Wal-Mart, and the Auto Part superstores overcharge for quality blades. The best blades I can find have been made in Mexico by a Michigan based manufacturer. I have found most of the big name blades are in fact a license to use a name, such as Michelin branded blades sold at Wal-Mart. Michelin does not design or make the blades, they simply license their name to some Chinese manufacturer who sells them under the Michelin name.

The question is- who REALLY manufactures a great blade. I have found most of the big retail names, Michelin, Bosch, Rain-X, etc- are all fancy packaging and not anything special operationally, often less than special.

I purchased a set of those flex wiper blades(forget the make) for like $35 last year for a pair. Still use them and they aren't chattering.

^ That'* interesting.. Maybe I will look for those soon as my bosh icons are starting to steak after about 1.7 years now. The problem with the Pk ave is the real curved glass on both sides.
All blades seem to not hold tight in those curved areas, as last portion of the blade, does not make contact with the glass.
I like the word flex..possibly they would help to hold it down better in those curved areas?
What are other Pk. Ave owners using with good success, I wonder?
