The stock limiter in a 97 Ei is set to 128mph, at least that'* what every bin that I've opened up said.

Tires are 130mph rated IIRC. That means they can be driven at that speed all day long w/o issues.

Like others mentioned...where do you get to those speeds? Scary thing is with each mod a quick blip of the throttle at 65ish mph turns into something you shouldn't be doing faster and faster. With only the cam and Gen V I was very impressed at how quickly the car was at 145mph without my noticing. Now with many more mods I try to be much more aware of the speed. Things happen much quicker with each performance mod you add and no matter how many suspension mods I've done, the car isn't setup to do those speeds.

well remeber guys i live in the sticks and have for 6 years and i think ive seen maybe 2 cops on ''patrol'' and there are alot of flat long roads but i dont really need to go faster than 130 especially if its gonna start to be like a plane lol i guess ill just keep things the way they are bonne for daily driving firebird for sheer speed and handling and truck for work and the drag truck well to drag race thank you for all the input and i dont really go that fast much anyways seeing as in how my brother passed in a car accident it was just a curious thought that popped into my mind and i very much so agree i do get my speed kicks on the track with the 49 pickup that and my wife would kill me sense its ''her'' car(so she thinks)lol
