I Believe it'* 126. You have a couple options. Buy a retuned PCM with the limiters flashed out of it, buy an HPTuner and pull them yourself, or find someone with one who has your year range software and do it for you.

The limiter is set to 126. This can be removed with HPtuner. The problem is at higher speeds these cars start to loose stability. Around 135 the front end starts to get light, wind and bumps have a big effect on the car.

yeah after about 130 things get really sketchy...as far as the 92-99 body style goes

now the 00+'* thats a different story..they will easily get past 130 nd still be perfectly stable

There'* really no place to get up to that speed. My car will flirt with 150, but where do I find a place to do that. Road America wants $125 to get on the track. Some day I just might give it a try.

What speed are your tires rated for?

You shouldn't ever try to go anywhere faster than that.

Does that answer your question? I hope so, because these are fullsize family cars, not Corvettes.

Good points Dan and X. They aren't Corvettes, and even with the GXP, or having it'* suspension upgrades: the front end does lift from about 120 above. Not soon after you are literally diving on a pocket of air that has no better stability than sheer ice.

I wonder how your new drive ratio has affected top speed...
