You Guys make my car feel like a baby. We celebrated her 110,000th mile about 2 weeks. It was a happy occasion. I crossed it about 15 minutes south of the Macinac Bridge (Between the upper and lower peninsula of Michigan) on my way back to school (northern michigan university) from my hometown (detroit). Anyways.... i've only had the car since somewhere around may of 2002 and i got it with like 93k miles.I bought it off my parents for 2900 and have yet to regret it. I LOVE MY BONNY

I bought this new, and have about 265K mi on orginal drivetrain. I go through alternators and batteries. Everything else is fine. Been a great car for 13 years and is still a daily driver.

She'* gonna roll to 160k when I drive her home next weekend.
Things I've paid for since I bought it with 120k miles on it:
* Tires, Brakes, Belt
* Waterpump, and the little fitting on the uppter intake
* Alternator, Battery
For putting 40,000 on the car, I don't feel bad about investing in those items. But I hate that it takes away from my project car. (SVO Mustang)

A customer at a store that I worked at had an 89 SSE with 700k KM (~437,500 miles) on it. Original engine and tranny. Drove a lot between Ontario and Texas. (Yes, I saw the odometer... Would anyone ever roll one forward???)
My 88 SSE is almost at 299,000KM and going strong (party at 300k ). Annoying stuff once in a while (engine mounts, alternators, water pump, rad re-core, a/c conversion to R134A) but a heck of a lot cheaper than a new car - heck of a lot better too, in my opinion.

Hi
I just traded my '95 Olds Royale with 245,000 on the clock. It has the orig series ll, and transaxel. Oil was changed every 3k mi, with wally syn 10w-30.
The car before that , had 265,000 on it. It was a '89 Ninety Eight ..and all orig.
Rust is the enemy up here.
