Default Hey guy'* what year transmissions will fit my 93 ssei?

I'm looking to purchase a transmission to rebuild over the next few months, and need to know what year supercharged cars to look for...also would like to know what other models of gm cars would work? If any. Thanks for your help.

Mark

As you may know you need to find a 4T-60e HD. I they for sure came in 92 and 93 bonnevilles. I think they also came in 94/95 L67s. Also any supercharged buick of the same years.

I know there is variance in the transmission connector for the Series 2 so I'm not sure if the same applies to the Series 1. I know for sure the 4T60E-HD is in my 95 SSEi, so I bet its safe to assume you can find it in the 92-95 years.

94/95 may be different than 92/93. I've found connector differences between 92 and 93 as well.

Correct. If you want plug and play, 93 only. If you want to do the research or have a shop that knows, 91-95 4T60E (HD) with a 2.97 gear ratio out of a Buick PA Ultra, SC98, 88, 95Buick Riviera, or Bonneville 92-95.

a 4t60 HD from a 93 will have the correct ratio for you (2.97)

When are you looking to get the transmission? I got one in my 93 SSE SC that come spring I'll let go fairly cheap if that is the timeframe you are looking at. If you need it sooner, I will sell the rest of the car as it sits (shell, drivetrain, and suspension) fairly cheap as well.

Unfortunately I do not know about the differences, have heard that they can be finicky and getting the same year is always best, or atleast matching the trans tag.
