Posts like a Ricer Type-R
Marik, I was talking with Don a couple days ago about this.
That motor ran GREAT at first. No blame on you. It certainly seemed (and was) cherry enough for awhile at least.

No Blame at all Marik.. It just happened... Motor ran really good at first... None of us could have ever known... But it will make a great performance rebuild..
Booze, Glad to see you guys made it back and the trip went pretty well... I was still sad to see the car leave for home on the trailer just the same... But I will look forward to seeing Gwen breathe new life again..

We unloaded her today. Stole the battery from the Cougar, as it currently had no use for it having an empty Bay. Took a few pics of the rig.
Now she rests in the woods, for now. We'll need to dig up a little bit more green stuff, mainly to get the Cougar'* project moved along enough to get my motor in there on the stand.

even being one of the most reliable 3800s, coming out of a white car, and going into one? come on, its not TOO much of a stretch.
but in all seriousness, excellent to see its back, really sucked i was never able to make it over and check it out, but it seems everything was handled just fine.
Boy, you guys got enough fords around there? I'd expect to see you driving a mustang booze! I see an old F150, you mentioned a cougar, and then the expedition SERIOUSLY.
hope to see pics soon of the rebuild!

Whats not pictured are two more '67 cougars around the back (part cars though), an '83 ranger out at the end of the driveway and dad'* '95 F-150 also out front, that white F-150 is a company truck.
Nah, too many people have a Mustang.
We have pretty much been an exclusively Ford family except a Grand Am and the Bonneville. When the time came for a sedan to fit us kids, Mom 'n Dad didn't like the Taurus or Crown Vic...well thats their reasoning
Dad is all about Ford, I am more about American Cars in General, leaning more towards Ford/GM
anyway...more to come on that in another thread...

Glad to see you hanging tough with it William..
Also I still really liked the Color combo of the Expedition.... Not sure why but for some reason I took a liking to the Burgundy on Dark Gray

I did it without the HB Puller tool
Heres how you pull the HB in a Real (Ford) Garage. (Ignoring the fact that a real garage would have the correct tool.)
Dad setting it up:
Me doing the hard part...
Materials: 3 M6 x 75mm 1.0 Pitch bolts, 1 Spring compressor, 1 Ford Pulley:
We started to use the 1/4" bolts and I came in and did a search and found a thread where Wren said dont use 1/4". So I made the trip back to lowes for the third time today, to get an M6 x 75mm 1.0 Pitch bolts.
Turning more wrenches:
My brother...not really doing anything, just spinning it all as fast as he could
And yeah, I got a mohawk...-er fauxhawk (Mohawk without shaving the sides).
Gunk
Picture is slighly blury but i think you can tell by the color; Cam bearings were gone/toast:
