Hmhh i recognize this guy from the GMforums.

Glad to see that he is here now.

A limited slip diff and equal length halfshafts will just about eliminate the torque steer issue.

look here http://www.car-buying-strategies.com...ra-Type-R.html

here http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/roadt...0/page003.html

and here http://www.minicooperonline.com/modu...toX&file=index

Acura Integra Type R brand new was only 24,000 something and you can get them much cheaper now. I have seen several articles that report 1/4 mile times in the mid 14'* for this car.

You can get one of those into the 12'* for just a few thousand dollars and it will still destroy almost every other car in the world on a road course. I don't think you can say the same for the Monte not with that heavy solid rear axel and 40 year old design reticulating ball steering.

I have driven a stock Type R and it was the most impressive solid driving car that I have ever been in.

RWD is not the best for everything and neither is FWD but you can just run around saying that RWD is best for everything because it is not.

I don'y think FWD will ever compare cause the weight when you floor it goes on the rear wheels . If it'* too muh power the front'* will just burn . My 3800 motors burns a little rubber in the bonnie but I don't think it will in a RWD with the same weight !
