ive wondered for a long time why front wheel drive drag cars have wheelie bars on the back of em. its not like its gonna come up in a wheelstand. Im guessing its due to rear end squat. so when the car launches off the line the rear cant squat due to the wheelie bar.

You will notice that many members who have ELC will throw a couple of buddies in the trunk on track day, let the car air up, pull the ELC fuse, and assuming the system doesn't leak, it accomplishes the same thing too. It is all about weight transfer, or lack there of.

Anti squat bars. Transfers more weight to the front wheels.

If the rear end does't squat, more power goes to the front wheels. If more power is at the wheels, then you get a faster lap time.
